Colozo 72 mcg Capsules contain Linaclotide, a guanylate cyclase-C (GC-C) agonist used for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation and irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). It helps improve bowel movements, reduce abdominal pain, and relieve constipation-related discomfort.

Uses / Indications

Colozo 72 mcg is indicated for:

• Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (CIC)

• Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation (IBS-C)

• Functional constipation in adults

Mechanism of Action

Linaclotide activates guanylate cyclase-C receptors on the intestinal epithelium, leading to:

• Increased cyclic GMP levels

• Enhanced intestinal fluid secretion

• Faster intestinal transit

• Reduced visceral pain signaling

This results in softer stools, improved bowel frequency, and reduced abdominal pain.

Dosage & Administration

• Recommended Dose: 72 mcg once daily

• Take on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before the first meal of the day

• Swallow capsule whole with water

• Do not crush or chew
