Colozo 145 mcg Capsules contain Linaclotide, a guanylate cyclase-C (GC-C) agonist used for the treatment of chronic idiopathic constipation and irritable bowel syndrome with constipation (IBS-C). It helps improve bowel movement frequency, stool consistency, and reduces abdominal pain by increasing intestinal fluid secretion and accelerating gut transit.

Uses / Indications

Colozo 145 mcg is indicated for:

• Chronic Idiopathic Constipation (CIC)

• Irritable Bowel Syndrome with Constipation (IBS-C) in adults

Mechanism of Action

Linaclotide works by activating guanylate cyclase-C receptors on the intestinal epithelium. This leads to:

• Increased cyclic GMP (cGMP) levels

• Enhanced secretion of chloride and bicarbonate into the intestinal lumen

• Increased intestinal fluid and faster bowel movement

Dosage & Administration
