Myelostat® Capsules contain Hydroxyurea, an antimetabolite anticancer agent used in the treatment of various hematological disorders and certain malignancies. It works by inhibiting DNA synthesis, thereby reducing the proliferation of rapidly dividing abnormal cells.

Hydroxyurea is also widely used in selected non-malignant hematological conditions under strict medical supervision.

⚙️ Mechanism of Action

Hydroxyurea inhibits ribonucleotide reductase, an enzyme essential for DNA synthesis. This results in decreased DNA replication in rapidly dividing cells, leading to reduced abnormal cell growth.
